Healthy Aging: life after Keto with Dr. Terry Wahls

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

Pale55plus recommends you read Dr. Wahl's new book
Eating less, fasting more, "seasonal" keto only with Dr. Terry Wahls

Dr. Terry Wahls has now published the revised and expanded edition of The Wahls Protocol: A Radical New Way to Treat All Chronic Autoimmune Conditions with Paleo Principles.

Please re-read that title, which is purely descriptive. There is no hype.

Unlike so many other Ancestral (or medical) writers, Dr. Wahls does not rest on her own laurels or simply brush up and re-publish her previous work. She has developed new perspectives and strategies as she continues, successfully, to hold multiple sclerosis at bay with diet and lifestyle--and conduct meaningful, peer-reviewed research.

In today's Keto-crazed media world, her new message about the drawbacks of year-round keto is refreshing. The enhanced regimen, still based on the Paleo diet but with some serious new twists, is introduced in my most recent article on the Paleo Diet website:

Looking Beyond Keto with Dr. Terry Wahls

Please review this post and let me know what you think. Please also consider buying her book. If it's the only diet-and-health book you read this year, that will not be a bad thing.

Thanks so much to Dr. Wahls for her time and correspondence with me while we worked on this article. She is a generous and thoughtful collaborator, ably assisted by a dedicated staff.
